This page is for the curious: A deep dive into the quiet precision behind Yoke’s simplicity.
Explore the meticulous engineering built to outlast generations of gear (and maybe even the photographers who use them).
The yoke on the bottom has Regular Stitching (6 stitches per inch) while the yoke on the top has Fine Stitching (8 stitches per inch).
220*+ Hand-Pulled Saddle Stitches
Yoke is rooted in artisanal rigour. Where others blur authenticity with ‘hand-stitched’ labels (often hand-guided machines), every stitch here is sewn with a needle, palm, and patience. Fine, time-intensive stitches—8 per inch, a density typically reserved for pocket-sized luxuries—are defiantly embedded into every strap. No compromises. No exceptions.
Why Saddle Stitching
Resilience: If a single stitch fails, the rest stay locked—no unraveling.

A Note on Imperfection
Subtle asymmetries in the stitching? Each variation honours the human hand behind your strap. Returns for “imperfect” stitches are gently declined.
*The stitch count varies by strap length
Both ends of the core are hand lock-stitched (with UHMWPE thread) to be fray resistant.
Yoke can be customised to use UHMWPE thread—the same ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene used in bulletproof vehicles and spinal implants.
The thread is a longevity system:
1690 kg* core load rating (5mm, rope-burn resistant)
384 kg* tensile strength (2mm line)
80 kg* tensile strength (0.607mm thread)
The magic lies in its friction defiance: UHMWPE’s very low coefficient of friction reduces internal wear from the core to the leather and external wear from the stitches from the environment. This lets yoke age gracefully.
*Disclaimer: These are lab ratings. Yoke is designed solely as a camera strap—please don’t rappel off cliffs or do anything you wouldn't do with a camera strap with it. The titanium split rings and leather have not been tested and might have a lower strength than the numbers above.
The 5mm (above) and 2mm thread are reflective.
